Due to safety and the increased number of cyclists, Queensland Police requested a fixed time of road closure.
Dickson Way
We understand businesses need to trade and get staff to work especially along Dickson Way, and this is possible except when the road is formally closed as per the periods shown below. Please advise your staff and guests in advance. We have added a dedicated moto marshal between George Nothling Drive and Tramican Street to assist with exiting vehicles towards Dunwich and added marshals to properties to assist with guests.

Movement from Point Lookout Towards Dunwich
East Coast Road will close from Tramican Street towards Dunwich and the Beehive intersection at 10.40.Â
Movement towards Dunwich will reopen at a reduced speed behind the last cyclist at 11.20.
Movement from Dunwich Towards Point Lookout
East Coast Road will close at Beehive Road towards Point Lookout at 10:40.
After the last cyclist turns towards Amity Point at 11.30, Queensland Police will conduct escorts in batches of four vehicles along East Coast Road from Beehive Road to Tramican Street (Point Lookout).
Movement towards Point Lookout will reopen at a reduced speed behind the last cyclist at 12.00.
Amity
Access to Amity from East Coast Road will close at 10:40. The road will reopen behind the last cyclist at a reduced speed from 11:30.
Access outbound from Amity towards East Coast Road will close at 10:30. The road will reopen behind the last cyclist at a reduced speed from 11:45.
