We understand that this event disrupts the usual flow of traffic, and appreciate your cooperation and patience throughout the duration of the event. Every effort is being made to consider individual circumstances and minimise the inconvenience placed on the community.
East Coast Road/ Dickson Way between George Nothling Drive and Tramican Street will be fully closed for the Kids events between 9:20am-10:00am.
East Coast Road/ Dickson Way between George Nothling Drive and Beehive Road will be fully closed for the Triathlon events between 10:30am-12:30pm.
Beehive Road between East Coast Road and Claytons Road at the Amity Point Community Club will be fully closed for the Triathlon events between 10:30am-12:30pm.
Police will facilitate escorts for local resident and business’ through the road closures when deemed safe to do so. The meeting points to join the escort is at the corner of Beehive Road/ East Coast Road to travel Eastbound on East Coast Road and Dickson Way Westbound outside the Point Lookout Bowls Club to travel Westbound on East Coast Road. Please allow an additional 30-minutes to your travel time in case of delays.

Buses
Extra services in place include: 880, 0550 (Departing Point Lookout), 0625 (Departing Dunwich Ferry Terminal), 881, 1225 (Departing Amity Point), 1425 (Departing Amity Point)
Services cancelled include: Due to the bike portion of the triathlon being on the main road, the decision has been made to cancel the following service to ensure safety of competitors and other road users. The following services will not be operation: 880, 1125 (Departing Dunwich), 1140 (Departing Point Lookout), 881, 1125 (Departing Amity Point).
Bike Travel on Buses: Unfortunately, due to the number of passengers expected on the island, we are unable to accommodation bike travel on our buses between Friday 24th – Monday 27th May.
The Straddie Salute will include the following type of road impacts:
Full Road Closure
Roads are closed in both directions.
Shared Road
Roads are open and shared between general traffic and participants using normal road rules.
Stop/Go
Traffic is temporarily held by traffic controllers or the Police. Delays are usually 30-60 seconds.
Shared Pathway
The pathway is shared between the general public and participants.
